Scholarship Program

Golf is the game of a lifetime and the lessons learned from golf can benefit the development of individual character and personality. The goal of the Errol Nicholson Junior Golf Development Fund is to provide Island youth with access to the sport and the opportunity to develop their interest and skills regardless of their financial circumstances .

The Errol Nicholson Scholarship, valued at $1000.00 will be granted to a Prince Edward Island student who is pursuing a golf career at a post-secondary institution.

Errol Nicholson Scholarship, Presented by the PEIGA

The scholarship will be awarded to the applicant who best meets the following criteria:

• Graduate of a Prince Edward Island High School;

• Accepted at a college or university, and have been named, or will be named, to the institution’s golf team or plan to continue pursuing a competitive amateur career; 
• Successful experience in competitive golf at a regional, provincial or national level prior to application;
• Demonstrated outstanding leadership qualities through volunteerism and sport.

• Plans to pursue a career in education or a field that will lead to working with youth.

Application Criteria: 

• Include: Name, Full Mailing Address, DOB, Email Address, Phone Number and High School

• Copy of resume (including golf experience, community involvement, volunteer efforts and leadership roles) 

• Letter of support or letter of reference. 

• Confirmation of acceptance from a post-secondary institution.
