Errol Nicholson Junior Golf Fund

Club Exchange Program

Errol Nicholson was the long time PGA of Canada Head Golf Professional at the Green Gables Golf Club.  A key builder for the sport across the province, he served on the Prince Edward Island Golf Association Board and had a special interest in junior golf.  He and his family generously created the Errol Nicholson Junior Golf Fund with the Prince Edward Island Golf Association.  The goal of the fund is to create sport development opportunities for junior golfers on Prince Edward Island.

In late 2017, we started the Club Exchange Program.  This program provides access to properly fitted equipment for junior golfers so they can enjoy the game.  For junior players, if the equipment doesn’t fit (too heavy or too long) the game can be even more difficult.  We have partnered with US Kids Golf and have a variety of lengths in left or right handed for PEI juniors to use for the season.

Junior golfers that are interested in participating in this program will be required to complete an application form (link below) so we can get to know the applicant (e.g. how long have you been golfing? what course do you play? etc…).  Successful applicants will then be able to use a set of clubs for the duration of the season.  At the end of the season, the clubs will be returned to the Prince Edward Island Golf Association so they can be used again the following year by another applicant.

Interested junior golfers can complete the application form before April 30, 2024 and submit it to peiga@peiga.ca.

Please note: There are a limited number of sets available for the season.
