P.E.I.G.A. To Reward Best Players
In an effort to help the Islandâs top players develop their game for competition the Prince Edward Island Golf Association will be awarding a personalized training and instruction package to the best players from its 2014 Menâs, Senior Menâs and Senior Womenâs tours .
The top two players in the point standings from the Menâs Players Series , the King of Clubâs Senior Menâs Tour and the Senior Ladies Tour will each be awarded a winter training program at the end of the season. The training program will be available twice a week between January and April at the Associationâs National Junior Golf Development Center in Summerside. Players will be able to use the indoor simulator and other tools for detailed swing analysis such as the BodiTrak pressure mat to determine weight and body movement throughout the swing.
The players will have access to P.E.I.G.A. Provincial Golf Coach , Dallas Desjardins as well as the Golf Development Centerâs support team including a mental coach , a strength trainer and a physiotherapist .
