King of Clubs Season Finale

               The twelfth event of the King of Clubs Senior Golf Tour was held at the beautiful Anderson’s Creek Golf Course.  After being postponed on Monday October 5th due to poor weather it was a successful run on Friday October 9th.  The course was a little wet from the rain that week but golf carts were permitted and 38 golfers enjoyed the day.  As this was the final event of the season a team format was used.  Each foursome had an A, B, C and D golfer in the group and each player played his own ball.  The team score was determined by taking the two best net scores on each hole.

               After the golf everyone enjoyed the mussels a delicious corn chowder and sandwiches.  Following the meal the prizes for the day’s tournament were presented.  One of the high-lights of the day was a hole-in-one scored by Louis Walsh of Clyde River on the tenth hole.  This was Louis’s second ace this summer.  On the same hole his teammate Ken Campbell of Brudenell posted a birdie giving the team an amazing net score of zero on the hole.

               The top three teams of the season finale were announced by Tour statistician Len MacLellan.  The members of the winning teams were presented with their King of Clubs gift certificates.  The members of the winning teams were:
