Oakville, Ont. (RCGA) – The Royal Canadian Golf Association (RCGA) has confirmed expansion of its RCGA Golf Card golfer loyalty program to Prince Edward Island (PEI) for this year. The program is being set up jointly on PEI by the RCGA, the PEIGA, and Golf PEI.
The RCGA Golf Card is the points reward program of the Royal Canadian Golf Association that gives golfers the opportunity to earn free rounds of golf at more than 200 participating golf courses across the country, including the following courses on PEI - Brudenell River Golf Course , Dundarave Golf Course, Eagles Glenn Golf Course, Fox Meadow Golf & Country Club, Glen Afton Golf Club, Glasgow Hills Resort & Golf Club, Mill River Golf Course, Red Sands Golf Course, Rustico Golf & Tennis Club, Stanhope Golf & Country Club, and The Links at Crowbush Cove.
The RCGA Golf Card is a loyalty card program offering golfers free rounds and other rewards in exchange for frequent play and spending at participating golf courses across Ontario, the West and Atlantic Canada. Owned and operated by the Royal Canadian Golf Association, the RCGA Golf Card has an alliance with the AIR MILES® Reward Program, enabling AIR MILES Collectors to redeem their reward miles for membership cards and free rounds at participating RCGA Golf Card courses. RCGA Golf Cards may be purchased at participating courses, Golf Town stores or online at www.rcgagolfcard.org.
There is no cost to golf courses for this program and its goals are to:
- grow number of rounds played by rewarding golfers for their play
- increase average revenue per round
- help foster a more stable competitive climate for courses
- support junior golf and our national teams
Golfing in Prince Edward Island is further being promoted within the program through a membership contest which is being held in conjunction with GOLF PEI.
The RCGA Golf Card can be purchased by golfers at any of the above named eleven PEI golf courses now participating in the program for just $24.95.
Golfers can also buy a membership in the new PEI Golf Association Public Player Program for 2009. This allows a PEI golfer to obtain an RCGA/PEIGA membership/handicap card, enter scores on the RCGA Network, and play in amateur tournaments without a club membership.
The Public Player card bundled with the RCGA Golf Card sells for $39.99. Contact the PEIGA at 393-3293 to obtain a Public Player card with the bundled RCGA Golf Card.
