Pepsi Junior Championship

Junior Tours Code of Conduct

The PEI Golf Association and Kevin Champion School of Golf take great pride in the quality of players and host facilities for all of its events and development camps. All players must adhere to a set of guidelines known as the Code of Conduct. Its purpose is to help players grow and mature by understanding and accepting the consequences of their actions. The Code of Conduct is to be followed throughout all events and related programs.

VIOLATIONS OF THE CODE OF CONDUCT ON THE GOLF COURSE
- Unsportsmanlike conduct, including abusive language, club throwing, disrespect of officials, volunteers or fellow competitors, or abuse of golf course property.

-Use of drugs or alcohol, smoking or chewing tobacco products.

-Failure to adhere to the dress code during tournament play and related programs.

VIOLATIONS OF THE CODE OF CONDUCT ON THE GOLF COURSE
- Any use or association with drugs or alcohol, smoking or chewing tobacco products.

-Any vandalism

-Abusive behaviour towards other players and volunteers.

-Any other conduct not becoming of R.C.G.A. and Future Links members.

DRESS CODE
- Hats/Visors must be worn with brim forward and down. Players must remove hat/visors while indoors at host facility.

-Collared shirts must be worn and tucked in at all times.

-Women’s shirts without a collar must have sleeves.

-Women’s shorts must be a minimum of mid thigh in length and may not be rolled up.

PROHIBITED DRESS
- Tank Tops, T-Shirts.

-Denim shorts, shorts-shorts, cut-off shorts, gym shorts, cargo shorts or jeans.

-Men’s shorts must not be below knee length and may not be rolled up.

-Shoes with metal or traditionally designed spikes.

-Proper attire is required at all times at the host facility. The Junior Tour Committee will review questionable attire. Should a host facility have a stricter dress code, its policy will take precedence. Players in violation of the dress code will not be allowed to tee or, if violation is discovered once play has begun, the player will be immediately asked to discontinue play.

CODE OF CONDUCT PENALTIES
-Any Code of Conduct violation will result in a written letter to the player and his or her parent/guardian.

-Disqualification from Junior Tour event and/or future R.C.G.A. sanctioned tournament(s) for which he or she has been accepted. Players not reporting a correct score will be disqualified from the specific round and both the Atlantic Championships and National Championships.

-The Junior Tour Committee will access any or all preceding penalties based on the severity and frequency of the violation(s). In the event of a suspension, both the player and parent/guardian will be required to submit a written account of the Code of Conduct violation to the Junior Tour Committee within 5 days of the suspension. A player can appeal a suspension (within 5 days of violation) which will be reviewed by the committee. The period of suspension will be determined by the Junior Tour Committee. The committee can implement a stroke(s) penalty which cannot be overturned.
