KING OF CLUBS TOUR FINALE 2011 On Monday October 3rd the final outing of the King of Clubs Senior Tour was held at the well conditioned Brudenell Resort Golf Course. Forty-two senior golfers struggled through the misty weather conditions. The course was a little damp from the two previous days of rain but the men enjoyed the day. This was the last chance to earn points to improve their position on the PEIGA Moosehead Rankings. The golfers were playing a hidden partner format to be revealed once the play was complete. There were to be gross and net prizes for the best eight teams. The field had been divided into two groups A and B. In the A Division Ron Garrett of Brudenell let the group with a score of 70, two under par. The next best score was 74 shot by Ron Boyles of Fox Meadow. Gary Moore of Belvedere was close behind with a score of 75. Two other golfers were able to break eighty, they were Alan Pickard of Belvedere with a 78 and Lowell Kurylyk of Summerside with a 79. In the B Division local golfer Donald Ross led the group with an 82. He was closely followed by Bill Millman of Mill River who shot an 84. Only two others were able to break 90 and they were Brudenell members Art Wallace with 86 and Joe Spriet with 87. The golfers were invited to the member’s Club House for a delicious roast beef dinner. Everyone enjoyed the meal which also included apple pie and ice cream. The men really appreciated the cooking and work done by Fran Wallace and Rhonda MacLeod. This was a fine way to end the King of Clubs Senior Tour for 2011. The Tour organizer took this opportunity to have Franklin Doyle, the founder of The King of Clubs Store to present the gift certificates to the top four in the Senior Division and the top four in the Super Senior Division.
